Questi intensi colori caratterizzano la nuova collezione di borse di Maria Luisa Spina. Per iI tessuto, Maria Luisa Spina ha ripreso il feltro, usato un tempo per avvolgersi in mantelli che proteggevano dal freddo dell’inverno e dalle piogge d’autunno.
Maria Luisa Spina ha scelto perciò il feltro per le sue borse, e la collezione è naturale, ecologica e resistente all’acqua.
I manici delle borse Maria Luisa Spina sono allora pezzi di forte e flessibile corda marina: capaci di resistere a colpi, strappi e ogni genere di tempeste urbane.
Sono borse fatte per durare e resistere agli urti esterni del frenetico mondo moderno, e sono ricamate a mano.

Philosophy
The Fall-Winter Collection stems from the idea of combining fashion and work related day-to-day tasks with the flexibility and modularity that our mundane tasks command every day.
MARIA LUISA SPINA was inspired by the weather and colors of her native area, Abruzzo, the Italian region with the highest percentage of territory included in National Parks and wildlife reserves, which span from the high mountains of the Gran Sasso to the Adriatic Sea. In Abruzzo, in the middle season colors are on fire. Beginning with the intense green of the seas and of the rain drenched fields, to the burnt red of the woods, to the brown of the earth, up to the grey of the chiseled stones of the creeks, colors watermark the falling tree leaves cracking under the steps in the wood. It’s those intense colors that shape the new bag collection by MARIA LUISA SPINA.
As to textile, MARIA LUISA SPINA re-used the felt, which was commonly used in the past in Abruzzo to weave ample tabards protecting people form the cold of the winter and the rain in the Fall. For this reason, MARIA LUISA SPINA chose the felt for her bags, and the collection is then natural, eco-friendly and water-resistant.
